Sunday School
Welcome to
the GOMSOC Sunday School web page. We welcome all children from
Preschool through High School to join us every Sunday. Our goal this
year is to have the children recognize their Orthodox beliefs.
They
will learn the Old Testament and New Testament; understand the Divine
Liturgy, and sacraments through the guidance of the Greek Orthodox
Archdiocese of America. It is important that our children become
actively involved in their parish, share common interests, goals, and
experiences with other children of our Greek Orthodox faith.
Sunday, June 6th: Sunday School Graduation Day: There will also
be a Greek school performance and a Parish Council update followed by
a luncheon sponsored by the Greek School and Parish Council. Please
plan on attending this very special event.
What’s New
Every classroom has a coin jar. We ask that the students bring
in anything from one penny to quarters, place it in the jar, and watch
it accumulate over time. Children enjoy being a part of their own
stewardship. The money will be added to the building fund and
miscellaneous Sunday School supplies.
Sunday School Registration Form

registration form for the 2009/2010 school year,

form, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed
in your system. If you do not have it, click on the image

Donations
A donation of $20 per child with a maximum of $50 per
family is appreciated. This amount based on the cost of
books and supplies each child uses during the school year.
Every child that is registered is counted in for days that
a craft or special lesson is assigned (whether or not they
attend regularly) and at the end of the year they will get
to take their books home.
Classroom Safety
After Sunday School dismissal, all classrooms are off limits.
Exceptions include the Sunday School director, teachers, assistants,
and Parish Council members using classrooms to complete church
obligations.
Thank You
We are very grateful to all those who accepted positions as
teachers and helpers. We also thank everyone who donated activity
tables, chairs, supplies, and their time to enhance our program.
Many teaching positions
are still open.
